We have a very fancy coffee machine in our shared kitchenette. Here’s how it works:

Start by filling the well with water to Max Fill.

Hit the round button on the bottom left of the coffee machine to start. You can turn this knob to scroll through menu options and press to select.

Select “Guided Brew”

Select “La Colombe Nizza” as your profile

Use the knob to select how many cups you would like to make. One mug tends to equal two cups. Once selected, the machine will tell you how many grams of coffee to grind.

Next to the coffee machine is a scale. Place the metal cup from the coffee grinder on the scale and tare it, then weigh your beans.

Remove the lid on top of the coffee grinder and pour your whole beans inside. The dial is already set to the correct grind for the machine. Replace the lid and press the button on the bottom right corner of the grinder to turn on. When finished, lift the lid to check that there are no beans left behind. If your beans are having trouble grinding, make sure that the grinder is turned off and poke around the circular apparatus to free up your jam. Then, replace the lid and press the button again.

Place a filter in the coffee machine and pour in your freshly ground beans. Press the bottom knob to start, let it brew, and enjoy!
