Manus Core Hand Capture – Live Demo Setup & Connection Guide

1. Prep & Power

• Charge the batteries for at least 4 hours with the Manus charger.
• For long sessions, connect gloves to a power bank or wired USB for continuous power.
• LED guide: green = charging · blinking red = low battery.

2. Software & Dongle

• Install Manus Core 2.0 and the Motive plugin for Manus

  (plugin guide).

• Plug in the Manus wireless dongle on a different USB bus than the OptiTrack Motive dongle to avoid interference.

• Launch Manus Core first; create or select a username.

3. Fit the Gloves

• Choose the correct size (S/M/L).

• Secure fit with tape or sleeve.

• Attach OptiTrack optical markers if precise hand position is needed

  (glove device setup).

4. Power On & Pair

• Turn on each glove; watch the LED:
  • Breathing blue – not paired
  • Blinking white – pairing mode
  • Solid blue – connected
  • Magenta – firmware updating
  • Yellow – contact support
• Put gloves in pairing mode and connect to the dongle. Wireless range is up to 50 ft / 15 m with clear line-of-sight.
• You can also connect via USB cable (skip dongle pairing).

5. Calibrate

• Place gloves on a non-metal (wooden) surface.
• Follow the 3 poses / 2 steps per pose shown in the on-screen wizard to calibrate orientation and fingertip sensors.
