At the core of Onassis ONX is our studio — a hybrid production/exhibition space and community hub for intersectional artists working with advanced technology. We invite everyone to use the space to develop or demo work that leverages its capabilities, including top-of-the-line consumer and professional equipment such as computers, displays, sensors, cameras, audio, motion capture gear, and more.

Our community spans New York to Athens, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Istanbul, Lisbon, and Louisville, presenting work at SXSW, Venice International Film Festival, Ars Electronica, Plásmata (Athens and Ioannina), Tribeca Festival, Mutek, and BAM's Next Wave Festival. We are genre-agnostic, promoting collaboration and experimentation! Onassis ONX bridges NYC and Athens in digital and XR practice, working across Onassis AiR, Onassis Digital and Innovation, and Onassis Stegi.

Onassis ONX produces seasonal exhibitions anchored by three core initiatives: the Fall Exhibition in September, which presents ambitious new work by artists from the ONX community; TECHNE in January, which especially focuses on performance and narrative-driven works; and ONX Screens in June, a community program dedicated to experimental screen-based, moving image and video game projects. Alongside these core programs, ONX develops thought-leadership initiatives with institutional and creative partners across the humanities, cultural exchange, and education. These programs appear throughout our annual calendar and can include other showcases, presentations, talks, performances, workshops, convenings, as well as professional programs designed to support artists, share new ideas, and create opportunities for collaboration.
